Who we are

Properly Automated is a trading name of a UK sole trader. For anything about your data, write to our contact address.

What we collect

Only what you give us. From the enquiry form: your name, your email address, your company if you give it, and your message. From the booking calendar: your name, your email address, the time you pick, and anything you type into the booking questions. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything to anyone.

Why we collect it

We use it to reply to you and to hold any call you book, and for nothing else. The lawful basis is legitimate interest, specifically responding to a business enquiry you chose to send us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and bookings are kept for two years, then deleted. If you become a client, your records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires.

Who else sees it

Our email provider and our hosting provider, both acting on our instructions. If you book a call, Calendly runs the booking calendar and holds your booking on our behalf. Calendly is based in the United States, and its privacy notice explains how it protects data sent there. Nobody else.

One more provider sees a little, and not through a form. This site loads its two typefaces from Google Fonts, so when a page opens, your browser asks Google for the font files and Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google's privacy policy covers what it does with them.

What this site stores on your device

Two small settings in your browser: whether you have already seen the 1995 intro, and whether you have turned sound on. They never leave your device, they are not used to identify you, and clearing your browser data removes them. No cookies are set by this site.

The booking calendar is the one exception, and only if you open it. It is Calendly's page shown inside ours, and Calendly may set its own cookies while it is open. Until you open the calendar, your browser does not contact Calendly at all.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to our contact address and we will action it within one month. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
